When an Australian sheepskin manufacturer came to us wanting to add an extra layer of comfort to their products we were more than happy to help.
This client specialises in the manufacture of Australian made sheepskin ugg boots, slippers and hot water bottle covers.
The project involved bonding together an outer suede layer to the sheepskin inside layer and visa versa.
Our solution involved two different bonding methods:
- Flame Bonding where a thin layer of foam was flame bonded between the sheepskin layer and the suede giving the slippers an extra layer of cushioning and comfort.
- Glue Bonding was used to improve durability, puncture resistance, and stiffness for the hot water bottle covers, baby rugs and medical skins.
